The indigo bunting is a small, bright blue bird. Each spring, indigo buntings return to Southern Indiana. They stay through the summer and fly south in early fall.
Indigo buntings are easy to notice during the day. However, they often travel at night, when most people do not see them.
They use the stars to help find their way.
Sign language is also beautiful and visual. However, Deaf people and their needs can sometimes go unseen.
Indigo buntings may travel together during migration, similar to Deaf people - who often come together, help one another, and share information, so at Deaf INDIGO:
